Whilst we're staying at the Poly, I thought we'd wander over to the Boardwalk for some dinner one night.

Can I get the monorail from the Poly to Epcot and then walk to the Boardwalk - without access into Epcot itself (the day we're intending to go is a non-Disney park day so don't want to waste any days on my Park Hopper pass:D ).

Taaaaa

No, the only way is thru the park. The least 'traumatic' way I can think of is to get the bus to MGM and you can walk (15 mins) or get the boat from there. Though if you are late-ish finishing, you might have to go to DTD to get back via the buses if MGM is shut by then.

Least "traumatic" (loving that phrase Penny) way I know Annie is get cab, but that's because I'm a lazy so and so ;) ;) :p

I'm with Sam on this one Annie .... to heck with the cost get a bloomin' cab!! ;)

Annie :)

Can I be nosey and ask where are you trying for dinner ?

I'd go for the bus version (too mean to get a cab, and I quite enjoy the WDW transport- sad, I know! ;) ).

Depending on the time of your meal and park opening times that day, you can use one of the parks as your hub, or DTD. The DTD route does always seem to take us forever though, so I prefer to use a park if possible.

Penny's suggestion of the :boat: from MGM would be my choice too - least traumatic and a boat ride in to the bargain!

:wave2: Thanks for all the info, folks. I think I'll revise my visit to the Boardwalk for when we're visiting Epcot on our last day, then we can come straight out on to the Boardwalk . . . and worry about getting back to the Poly later:hyper:

Kaylee - I hadn't actually got anywhere specific in mind, it's just we've not been to the Boardwalk before so fancied a nosey and then just pick somewhere that appealed to us all.

Have you finished your packing yet, Kaylee? ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo
And how are you containing the excitement:hyper: :hyper:

Don't you just love these new smilies::yes::

I visited the Boardwalk for the first time a couple of weeks back... Seems such a long time ago :(

Loved the place - transferred out of Coronado Springs to the Boardwalk Inn the following morning!

Think I'd say Big River was may favorite for food - and the drink wasn't bad with their own Microbrewery. JellyRolls was good fun with the Duelling Pianos - although the AirCon was set a bit too low for comfort...!

The boats to MGM and Epcot were great.

I must finish my trip report and post it in the near future!
