From MCO on DME to a different disney resort?

Quick question guys!

I did a search on DME but after looking at 6 pages I didnt quite find the answer I was looking for so I thought someone could give me some insight on this.

We are arriving as a family of 5 and my parents decided to come as well. Now we are up to 7. The thing is we are staying at CR and they are staying at POP. We have been on DME many times and assume we will be taking different buses to get to our respective resorts. What I would like to know is if it is possible for my parents to come with us on the DME bus that goes to CR instead of POP? I'm not sure if anyone has done that before or if it is just a matter of asking the driver or counter cm? If possible that would be great and make things easier. If not then they would have to take an MK bus and walk to CR. We have an ADR about 2 hours after we land and would like to save my parents a lil time.

No, you can only take ME to your own resort.

I think you're cutting it way too close with an ADR 2 hours after you land. If it's at the CR you may (assuming everything works perfectly) make it on time, but the chances of your parents making it on time are slim to none.

I'd call Disney for that one. If they check luggage, I would think they might have to claim at MCO to get on the same bus as you. Then they would have to transport their luggage to their resort.
I doubt Disney would transport their luggage to their resort without them checking in so luggage can be put in their room. Call Disney is best suggestion but, I kinda doubt it possible. I'd try a different time for your adr two hours is cutting it close.

Thanks for the quick responce! We will plan for them having to go to POP on their own DME bus but will ask once we get there to see if they would allow it.

You actually have two problems here. The first one is Disney won't take you on Magical Express to any resort but your own.

The second problem is that having an ADR within 2 hours of landing is waaay too short of a time frame. Average time to get to your resort on Magical Express is around 90 minutes. That factors in any time you may have to wait in line for the bus, any time you have to wait for the bus to leave the airport, and the fact that your resort may be the last stop on the route. You are left with only 30 minutes to check in, and get to your ADR. Not nearly enough time. Even if your ADR is at the Contemporary there is no telling how long check in will take.

And note that that time frame also assumes your flight lands on time. Which is not guaranteed.

Sorry for the not so happy reply. Is there any way you can bump your ADR back, or reschedule for another night?

Thankfully we can move the adr and are currently working on pushing it up to 3 1/2 to 4 hours past arrival time to give us a little bit more time. It will still be fine as my parents will have the joy of their first stay at POP and taking the MK bus to reach us while we bask in the glory of our balcony

I think that's a good plan, as long as the ADR isn't prepaid you should be fine.

If time is short or the front desk lines are long, your parents can do the ADR first and check in after returning to Pop Century. They (and you) ight also look inot check in on line.

I'm so glad to see that you were able to push back your ADR. And your folks dont HAVE to walk from MK to CR!!!! They can bus to MK and then take the monorail to CR to save wear and tear on what might already be weary legs.
