In the past few months I have been lucky enough to vist areas where these have taken place.
In October I visited Kitty Hawk. I walked along the flight path of the Wright brothers plane, trying to imagine how they must have felt and thought when they took their history making flight.

Then last week I visited Kennedy Space Center. Saw where Apollo moon missions and now Space Shuttles lift off from.
At one of the stops during the Kennedy tour I looked out over the launch pads and thought "Wow! Look at how far we have come in 100 years!!"

Very cool, Shutterbug. I would really enjoy seeing either of those places, so historic.

The bigger the interest in space you have the more you will love it. Make sure you get there when it opens.
I was there as soon as it opened and stayed until it closed and I still didnt get to see everything they had there.

I chose to pay the extra and took the NASA Up Close tour.
For me it was worth it. You get to see parts of the ISS being built. As well drive around both shuttle launch pads.
