We love Harry potter but do not overly care for universal/islands of adventure. It's ok just nothing great to us. We would love to see wwohp but we would be driving over from Disney just for this. How long does it take to tour (we will be there end of february 2012). Not sure if it is worth 1 day admission just for this part of the park?

Thoughts! Many thanks!

I definitely think it is. We're going on a Disney cruise to the carribean this easter but we're staying one day at Hard Rock Hotel just for Harry potter's world. I hope it's do- able in 1 day.

The Wizarding World is doable in a few hours. Spending $80 to walk around and look would be a personal call. It would be worth it for some and not for others. If you are the type of person who doesn't like the rides at Universal, you probably won't like their new Harry Potter and the Wizarding World ride. The other rides in the WW are roller coasters. There is a show in Ollivander's and there are shops and a restaurant.

I agree...spending that much money just to see one section of the park wouldn't make a lot of sense to me. If you aren't going to enjoy the rest of the park while spending all that money, I would skip it.

Although WWoHP is brilliantly done and well worth a good few hours, If you`re not going to at least spend some other time in the park then I wouldn`t bother going.

No point coming to Universal Resort unless you're not going to look around. What do you mean, you don't like Universal that much? Are you a Disney fangirl?

How could you be near Universal Orlando and not even want to try out Hulk, Spidey, or the water rides of Toon Lagoon and JP Or Revenge of the Mummy or MIB in the Studios?

Those rides have few equals in WDW, maybe only Splash Mountain is better than Ripsaw Falls. But no other. Although Forbidden Journey is the greatest attraction in the world, you would be missing out on a lot if you didn't experience the rest of the park.

Thats alot of $$ to visit only one section of a park.Remember other than the Fantastic theming, stores etc .. the only real new ride is Forbidden journey which also has a height requirement( not sure if or how that affects you).Flight of the hippogriff and the Dragon Challenge were just re-themed to fit the Harry Potter area, which I am not saying is a bad thing, but if you have been to IOA before you probably rode them already and quite honestly from what I have heard here Dragon Challenge was better theming BEFORE they changed it to HP.I would not miss the chance to go, but I am spending 4 days at Universal/IOA and Seaworld..Not sure if I would make a special trip or spend the $$ just to see HP , and I am a big Hp fan

I would go mainly to see Harry Potter, but would at least check out the rest of the park that day while there. Might as well get your money's worth :)

Thanks for the responses everyone! I'm the only one out of the family that likes to go on rides (large rides that is), so that's why I said we weren't huge universal fans. We went 2 years ago and I got in my fill of rides and did enjoy them while the fam waited for me, but overall Disney for us is just a better fit.

I think after all these responses though we will just stick to staying at Disney for the week! Thanks again!
