From Close to New Account Setup?

Hi everyone,

Just received word today that our resale BCV contract closed Today.

I was told to expect Disney to complete the setup of my account within 7-10 days. How long did it take for those of you who bought resale from the time you were notified of the close to the time you were able to book a resi?

I have a good reason for getting a resi booked by next Wed or Thursday which would be 6 days, if possible. Thanks

Anything is possible but Disney isn't known for rushing to input resales. Once I was told that they process the direct sales first, then the resales.

Last year, we were in the Disney system in 5 days.

I did an add-on last year via resale. I had touched base with Member Services to ensure the contract would just be added to the existing 3 contracts a little after we passed ROFR. The resale points were in the system within the week.

I just went through this .I got an email Monday that my closing was complete. I was checking online every day and by friday the new contract was added to the others. Good luck

How did you get online? Were you already an existing member? Wouldnt I need to wait for my account number. I'll look again at what I received for the notification on the closing details, maybe something is there.

Just finished closing on a resale last month. I was in the system in four days. I couldn't believe it!

yes,I am a member now but with my first resale I called 3 days after I heard that I closed and I was surprised to be in their system. So maybe call them tomorrow or Monday. Good Luck

We bought an addon resale last fall and it took less than a week for our points to be in our account ready for use. We too were hoping that the points would be available so we could make a reservation at the 11 month mark and the point were there right on the day! I called 3 days after I received notice from the title company that the contract was closed and they had forwarded the information to Disney for the title transfer. My new account was already set up. I received my membership number set up an online account and made reservations for our trip in May, 2010. It was about 2 weeks later that I received my membership package in the mail. Start calling and tell them you are a new member. All they can do is say call back later!
