From Bay Lake Tower to Downtown Disney

I will be renting a car from one of the hotels in the Downtown Disney area to get to DCL and I wanted to pick it up first thing in the morning. What is the earliest that the WDW buses will go to DD? Should I just take a taxi instead? If so, about how much would that run?

About 10:00 AM.

A cab will probably run $20ish.

Buses from the resorts to DTD start around 8:30 a.m.

It's the buses from DTD back to the resorts that start later.

Don't forget that the Disney Transport Buses won't actually stop at Bay Lake Tower, you will need to get it from the Contemporary station which is a short walk away.

Check with the rental car company at the hotel to see if they'll pick you up. Many rental car locations, even those at hotels and suburban locations, offer free local pick-up and drop-off service.

If the particular rental car location at which you have a reservation does not offer such service, I would recommend canceling and making a new reservation at one that does.
