I have never been on the Skyliner. We are dining at Topolino's on our upcoming trip.

We were initially thinking about getting a Lyft to get from point A to point B, but now thinking about making it more "Disney".

We believe it would be the following path:
Take either the EPCOT or Disney Studios bus from AKV
Hop on the Skyliner and either go straight there from EPCOT
or
Change Skyliners if we take the one from Disney Studios

How much time should we allow? Obviously a lot more than taking a 15 minute Lyft.

Disney Studios? Do you mean Hollywood Studios?

Dont do the Epcot option since the bus drop off and the Skyliner are on opposite ends of Epcot. You will have to enter Epcot and walk 3/4 a mile through it
Dude, don't split hairs. It is the same thing. If I said MGM, you would know what I meant. :D

Good info about the bus/skyliner at EPCOT.

Hey you could've also been meaning to bring up Disney Springs.. In any case google can help you since you wanna be rude.

>Yup, take the bus from Kidani to the Studios, and then take the Skyliner.
>Bus stop at Epcot is at the front of the park, Skyliner is at the International Gateway. It's a long walk and you'd have to burn a park day admission (unless you'd already been to Epcot or another park and have a park hopper).
>I'd leave... an hour minimum, probably more like 75-90 minutes for travel.
>We still call it MGM here at home; been going to Disney for a LONG time!

Take bus to Hollywood Studios. Get on the Skyliner- it’s right by the bus drop off. Skyliner will go to Caribbean Beach which is the hub. You have to get off and get on the Epcot line. It’s will be the one on the left as you get off. The doors open at Riviera and you can get off.

The Skyliner shuts down for lightning. So don’t try to use it if the weather is bad.

Is it that you want to ride the Skyliner?
If not, is there a reason not to take the bus to the AK park and then take the Riviera bus?

Oh good to know. Thank you for the weather tip!!

Very good info!!

We did this in October, going from Kidani to Pop Century to meet up with my parents. We took a bus to DHS, then hopped right on the Skyliner to Pop. We always allow ourselves at least 1 hour to get anywhere. It did not take an hour, it was quicker than I thought it would be.

Okay, good to know. I do not want to rush and be stinky when we get there. :P

We usually get cleaned up for dinner when we go there, but many people are in park attire at that restaurant as well.

I might suggest doing the reverse and getting a uber/lyft to Riviera and then taking the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios from Riviera after your meal. Of course, if your meal is real late, this may not work.

Okay, good to know, I just asked a question about dress code. I do not want to show up necessarily in park attire, but my husband will wear his New Balance with khaki shorts and a polo, for the sake of comfort. I really do not want to wear a dress. I prefer shorts, even if black and a nicer shirt. I have flip flops I could change into that would be considered "nice" compared to every day flips. I do not do heels/pumps. Can't actually.

We plan to do a 5 PM booking, so your suggestion makes sense. We can hopefully find a different day to get on it during sunlight.

That should be fine. Like I said, some people have theme park apparel on in the restaurants, including these nicer ones like Topolino’s and Citricos.

Khaki shorts and polo or button down shirt is fine for pretty much all high-end restaurants in Disney, except Victoria and Alberts. The nicer restaurants will even accept less - I've seen people in casual athletic shorts and t-shirts at Topolino's and Yachtsman...though most people try at least a little harder than that.

There are a few other options you could consider for the skyliner ride to Riviera. From AK, you could take the Disney Springs bus, then transfer to the Beach Club or Boardwalk bus, and walk over to the Epcot Skyliner station, which will take you direct to Riviera.

Or, you could take the Hollywood Studios bus from AK, then WALK or take the boat to Beach or Boardwalk, then over to the Epcot station, to go direct to Riviera. Not that any of it is quicker than taking the DHS skyliner and transferring at Caribbean Beach - just providing alternate routes. I actually like taking boat rides, so I would probably do the bus to DHS, boat to Beach Club, walk to Epcot Skyliner, ride direct to Riviera. then I get a boat ride and a Skyliner ride.

I think your planned attire, including your shorts and a nicer shirt, will be perfectly fine for Topolino's.

Nice!! Then just need to skyliner back to Epcot and walk to the front of the park and get on the monorail to MK and then you will used all free forms of transportation that Disney offers in one evening

When we stayed at Kidani and had a Topolinos ADR we took the bus to HS then Skyliner to Riviera.

We left 90 minutes before the adr because we wanted to have a couple cocktails at the Topolinos bar first.
