My DW and DD want to know if any ladies out there have had a problem with frizzy hair because of the humidity and what you do to deal with it?

Sorry for the pun, but I have frizzy hair all the time. Now sericely just bring some good leave in conditioner or mouce.

I have wavy hair that gets a little frizzy in the humidity. During the day I usually keep it in a ponytail if I'm at the beach or in the pool. Prior to dinner I will use either Rusk Smoother or Fioravanti Gel Defrisant (straightening gel) before I dry my hair, and then I'll use a flat iron. Most of the time I don't worry about it on vacation - but I'm married and not trying to impress anyone either!

Ponytails, french braids, clippies, and I did cornrows last year (didn't like 'em).

As someone whose hair gets larger than Rosana Rosana Dana (SNL reference) when it gets the least bit humid, I have found that John Freda Secret Weapon helps A LOT!! It's part of their frizz ease line.

I also use a silicone based syrum on my hair while it's wet. Both of these help immensely. If all else fails take a hair clip :earboy2:

I use JoJoba oil. I get it from our local health store. Just a tiny little drop in the palm of your hand and smooth through hair. Don't do your bangs....they'll just hang in greasy strips!!

Anyone know of any spray on sun block for hair?

Nancy

Aveda Damage Control is suppossedly a sun screen for hair. I use it and it does seem to protect my colored curly hair.

I agree with try to limit shampooing to twice a week and just use conditioner or just rinse on the other days.

What's the best deep conditioner you've tried? I am always on a search. Anyone tried Ouidad's? I haven't, but am considering, esp. for the cruise.

I use all Ouidad products. I really like them. They have helped with the frizzies a lot. On a cruise, I have more problem with wind-induced hair problems than with heat/humidity problems!
