Hi,

We are hoping to get free dining for our trip to The World in December, but based on last year's dates, it may not be available the day we will arrive at Disney.

So we are thinking about staying at an off site hotel our first night to save money and then checking in at Pop Century early the next morning so that we can hit a park right away.

But we would like to do something Disney-ish on our first night. We were thinking about going to the Boardwalk and doing some shopping, and maybe riding one of the friendship boats around the lagoon.

But, are we allowed to ride the friendship boats if we are not staying at a Disney Hotel that night?

Thanks in advance.

Yes....you are allowed to use all modes of Disney transportation....except Magical Express...even if you are not staying onsite.

Thank you. I thought we would be allowed, I just wanted to make sure.

As the previous poster mentioned, yes you're allowed to do this. The bolded section is the biggest reason why. They'd never turn down the chance to separate money from your wallet. ;)

The boat stops on the canal at BW, BC/YC, Swan/Dolphin and the two parks.

are you driving or renting a car? If not how are you getting from MCO to your off site resort?;)
