Let me preface by saying we went to Orlando with our best friends- the cast is as follows:
Me- 33
DH- 34
DS-7
DS-6
Friends- 35,34, and their DD 7
Also, we (not our friends) had been to Universal this summer. After staying at RPR, we decided we had to buy the express pass, so we had that for the US portion of the day.
First, we head to IOA. After telling our friends about spiderman for 3 months, we rush there, and it is down. We panic-oh no! The women and kids head to Seuss Landing-the men to the Hulk. We do One Fish Two Fish, The Caroseussel, and The cat in the hat (twice). The men ride the Hulk 3 times. We meet back in front of spiderman at 9:30. Yippee-it's up and going!!! All of us, but the 7 year old girl love it! The women decide to try Hulk while the the guys take the kids back thru spiderman for a second ride. We travel on to Jurassic park and ride the river adventure, the guys do Dueling dragons, we shuffle back thru Seuss landing and want to ride Cat in the Hat again - but now this is down. It's now a little before 11, we decide to grab lunch, then head to US.
We stop in to NBA city for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised. We weren't expecting much, but the food was good, the service fast, and it was just what we needed to recharge.
Off to US- we now have express passes- but we really didn't need them. The lines were relatively short, and probably by just using the regular express pass system wisely we could have done just as well. We see T2-3D, ride ET, BTTF (this beat us up, our friends rode in the back, and the man swears he got a concussion), MIB and Jaws. Everyone is wearing down a bit, but we do Twister and then we take turns watching kids as we ride Mummy. We loved this ride. My DS7 went on with me, and was scared silly (and he loved TOT at MGM). We grab some drinks and refresh and decide to press on to Jimmy Neutron. We look across the street and Shrek is a 10 minute wait so we say, "why not" and do it.
By this point, we were desensitized to anything 3D and were tired of being josteld and jiggled. It's about 4 pm, we didn't rush, but rode a ton of rides in one day.
We grab a starbucks and call it a day after the kids drenched themselves in the water play fountains at city walk!
Up next, Day 8 and SeaWorld
