We may be staying at BCV's in March. We have friends stayng at CBR at the same time. Can they visit with us and use the pool if they checkin at the front desk? It would be dissappointing if they couldn't. Anyone have experience with this?

There is no pool hopping to Stormalong Bay.

if you have a studio and there are 4 in your party. no your friends can't come.

as long as you and guests are at the capacaity for your room - then you are fine.

don't count on this being a slow time. March is spring break time - so despite the cooler weather (march can be cold) - I would think this pool will be full.

Consider joining your friends at CBR (you have pool hopping priviledges there assuming you are DVC members) or even meeting them for a day at BB or TL.

You can ask at BCV, but March is a busy time and it is very likely that your friends will nto be allowed due to the large number of BCV, BC & YC guests who use the pool.

Best wishes -

Bummer, will the resort be difficult being that it will be early March? Not spring break time yet. If so, maybe we'll consider staying at another DVC resort. Does BCV have a number to call to check on their policy? Thanks

I think that even if you call them, you would get the same answer you have gotten here. You have to be able to show your room card in order to get a wristband to swim at SAB. There have been reports that people have been told be a CM that they could have guests, but I really think those times are few and far between. This is an incredibly popular pool.....the folks that are paying to stay at either YC, BC or BCV like to be able to find a chaise and have a nice experience. I know how bad pool hopping is at the Polynesian and it isn't nearly as nice as SAB.
Now, I'm one of the few people that isn't all that crazy about SAB....we did it once and that was enough. If you want to spend time at a pool with your friends, I would go to a water park or even to their resort. I wouldn't want to have either you or your friends be embarrassed by a CM at SAB. I have seen them ask people to leave, so it could happen.

We we stayed at the Beach club they checked room id's for everyone in our group, even our kids. They checked everyone. I don't see how you could get your friends in. One day I also saw a CM coming around checking for wrist bands. Everyone I saw had them, but I got the impression that anyone without wrist bands would have been asked to leave. This was early Dec-not a busy time. I would pool hop to their resort or hang out at a water park together. Can they change their stay to the BC or YC?

degli - spring break start President week and generally goes to the middle or end of April.

you can look at the points as a guide.

when the points are high - it is either spring break or summer, plus thurs and frid of Thanskgiving!

peak season is easter and the week before, plus Christmas til NY.

The stated policy of all WDW resorts is that resort pools are for resort guests only. This is on the sign of every WDW resort pool. This policy was waived as a perk for DVC members, but even DVC members are not allowed to do this at SAB or Uzima pool at AKL.

Per policy, your friends are not allowed to use another pool other than the one of the resort they are staying at. However, as a DVC member, you are allowed to "pool hop" to CBR. You might want to meet them at their pool....during President's Week you will not be allowed to have guests at BCV.
