Friends and Family help!!

Long story short we have a friend that will be in Orlando the same time we are going and they want to meet us at Animal Kingdom for a day. They have requested us to add them to "My Disney Experience" so we can link up our FastPasses. This is my concern. Although we don't mind spending the day with this friend we don't want them to know any other details of our trip. I know that there is a "view only our shared Activities" option in the APP but I want to make sure that they will not be able to see anything else that we are doing on any other days. SOOOO...is it possible to let them only see that one day? I know I sound like a bad friend but my family trip comes first and if she sees anything else about our trip she will invite herself to those things. I am also very protective of the information that I let people see. Ideally I would only want her to see only my FastPasses for that day and not see anyone of my family as well(because they have a few different things they are doing as well). Help me, I have never had to add someone to my account like this.

I would just explain you rather not add them but will be happy to meet them at AK, spend the day (or whatever time you agreed to) together and then go your separate ways.

This is not a close friend and the reason is that I feel she will attempt to "tag" along with us more if she knows where we will be on the other days. Like I said, I have no problems for one day but if she sees the other days and our plans then she will just show up and expect to hang out with us. Like most people here, we don't have much time during the year to be just a family and WDW is a great time to be just a family for us.

I would just tell her that it's too much hassle to link up the MDE accounts for one day. Just coordinate fast passes at times that overlap, so you can do those things together. And don't actually link your accounts.

I'm planning my trip as well as my friend's. I have access to both MDE account. She can't see my activities after the selection of "only shared activities". However, at the FP+ booking page, my name is there for her to select FP+ (I have active ticket in my MDE). I really don't like this but I want to share my Memory Maker with my friend so there is no way out.

It's better not to accept F&F unless you have to. You have the option to unlink them at anytime. Accept them the day before and unlink the day after.

As PPs have said, if this "friend" is someone who you don't even trust to not try to force him/herself into your trip uninvited, then I wouldn't even bother trying to link on MDE. I can't think of any advantages to doing so.

Wow....complications! Isn't life interesting. I feel for you. You sound like a nice person and you don't want to hurt your friend's feelings. How many days will they actually be there with you? Is it just that one day?

Good post and I appreciate the helpful replies to OP , I am grateful to have so many kind and helpful posters we have. and makes me as moderator very happy.Plus it makes moderating a less stressful endeavor,sometimes I just want to pull out my hair. Thanks Danny
