Friend Opinions

Okay so I have these two friends. (Let's use 1 & 2 instead of names) I met 2 through friend 1 and they live by eachother so they were always good friends. About last year 1 started hanging out with her other friends more and they all started ignoring 2. Personally, I think 2 is more fun to be around. Latley 1 is trying to be someone she isn't and well, she has changed. 1 was not being nice to 2 at all and when I asked another friend why they didn't like 2 they gave me answers you would get from a 6 year old. 2 doesn't care that much she basically says if 1 wants to be like that, let her. It really bugs me though. I told 2 if 1 hates me for hanging out with you, so be it. I will not be upset if 1 doesn't want to be my friend anymore becasue we have grown apart and not wanting to be my friend becase of this is childish. 1 has not said she is mad at me but I think part of her is.

So I want to know, what are your opinions.
What would you have done in this situation?
Has this ever happened to you?

I think I would have said the same exact thing because of for one its your decision and 2 i dont want to be around a bully if its ok I need to vent on someone also but dont want to do it right in front of everyone on the boards because it is another diser and I dont want to risk her seeing it.

Thank you. I have been friends with 1 for awhile but she is just not the person I was friends with years ago. I just truly feel bad for 2 even though she says she doesn't care.

your doing the right thing, as others said... its really stupid if your friend is mad at you just because your cool with someone she doesnt like... its her loss and shell realize it someday lol
