Hello Lisa6191 !!! We will be cruising with you on March 20th '04. In fact I believe several of the Dis board members from last years Spring Break cruise are repeating. We will have a blast. In a few months I will start the list of who is going and ages of children. We even had a DIS meet at the sail away party. Nice to see familiar faces later on in the cruise
.
Don't worry about your friend. As said previously some people are not cut out for cruising. I would add your friend to that list. As for the food, well, we don't think it is excellent but then DCL is cooking for 2000 plus people. I don't have to cook it so hey, it is great.
We have cruised on DCL 5 times and love it. We have cruised Carnival, and Celebrity. This New Year's we are cruising Princess. Our TA all ready prepared us that the stateroom on Princess is not the same size as Disney. Disney is known for their large staterooms.
The advice I give people who ask about my opinions on DCL is this: if you love Disney and cruising you will love it. If you don't want to see the mouse then please cruise another line. As far as seeing the children, well yes you are probably cruising on a ship where almost 50% of the passengers are children of various ages, it is a Disney family vacation spot. Of all of our cruises on all lines, Disney is the one line where the children are rarely underfoot or obnoxious. Although there probably will be an exeption now and then. Celebrity and Carnival were tied for the worse. I'll let you know about Princess.
So after 5 DCL cruises and one up and coming with I know another one to be booked for '05. You know we are a satisfied customer
.
Happy Cruising and we will see you March 20th '04 Kathy
