Friend at WDW now buying into DVC, referral question?

My friend rented points from us to go to WDW and is there now. She is at SSR and said her and DH are blown away by the resort!! They fell in love and are now buying into DVC!!! I knew it would happen!LOL

Quick question, she asked if she should give my name as a referral so I can maybe get something? What would be the incentive to say I referred her?

Also, she said the deal they are offering her is the points for $90, with Sep use year and she gets all '05 points, so she'll have them to use in '06.

What is "DD"? Disney Dollars? We were just listed as a referral for friends who bought into DVC and they said they put our name down - but she wasn't sure what type of incentive we'd get.

We referred a friend who bought DVC a few months ago and all we got was a letter from DVC saying thanks. Our guide explained we live in a state (Tennessee) that does not allow gifts for referrals. That seemed odd to me because I have a friend that owns Marriott and when she referred some friends that bought there, she received a nice gift from them.

There are some states where you are not allowed to get incentives for referrals. that's what we were told when I bought my membership.

Thanks for the info everyone. Does anyone know where I can find out if my state allows the incentive? I'm in NY. Also do you have to take the DD or is there something else offered?

We're in NY and got $200 Disney Dollars when a co-worker used us as a referral when she bought into DVC. We didn't get it until everything was final and beware--we were mailed a sheet with choices and I put it away. Then I pulled it out awhile later and it was going to expire in a couple weeks. Glad I noticed that little fine print. Who wants to pass up free money??? Not me!!!!!
