Fridges in rooms @PBH?

In all the times I have stayed at PBH (a ton ), the rooms that had fridges other than the minibar fridges were in the Villa Suites and above. In any other room, you have to request them.

We were in a Portofino Suite last November, and the only fridge was the minibar fridge. There is not a separate fridge in the garden, bayview and deluxe rooms.

In the Villa Suite and above, there is a fridge in the pantry but not in any of the bedrooms. If you want a fridge other than the minibar, you have to make a request for one.

The fridges are free if you have a medical necessity, ie, medicine that needs to be kept cool.

Otherwise, I believe the fee is $10 or $15.00 per night.

How did you like the Portofino Suite? I have been upgraded to one in August. Did you like it ? Where was it ? Did it have a balcony? Two bathrooms ?

It was in the west wing on the third floor. The view was of the beach pool. No, it did not have a balcony. And although a bit of a hike, it was very convenient to the club lounge as it was on the same floor.

It did have two bathrooms, the full one in the bedroom and a shower in the parlor. I did miss the separate shower that is in the deluxe rooms.

We enjoyed it but do prefer the Villa suite over the Portofino. Yes, we are thoroughly spoiled

Thank you for the information. It will be our first time staying in a suite, and also our first time staying at the Portofino. I did request the west wing, which seems to be the favored choice on these boards. Is there anything else I may try to request ,based on your experiences?

Like another poster said, fridges are $15/day in the standard/deluxe rooms and must be requested. We did have a fridge for our stay last week to store insulin and they credited our account. They are large enough to hold about 12 drinks or so (shaped rather strangely so that they are not very deep). They have a small freezer as well. Be careful, our bellman set it at very, very cold and everything was nearly frozen when I realized this. Thank goodness we had not put the insulin in yet.
