Fridge question for AKL??

I heard a rumor that fridges were to be installed at all Deluxe resorts, however I don't think they have finished this rollout process. But then I recently heard that if you request a fridge while staying at a Deluxe resort that the fridge would be provided free of charge??

Am I off base on any of the above?? With the above in mind, I called directly to the AKL and they stated that I could request one due upon checkin (11-4-04), however it would be $10.00 a night - anyone ever gotten a 'free' fridge while staying at the AKL - or any other Deluxe resort?

Welcome to the Borads. I just came back from AKL. We just called housekeeping once we got to our room and requested a fridge and coffee maker and there was no charge for the fridge. We also stayed at CBR and they had a fridge in the room. The fridge at CBR was bigger than the fridge at AKL.
