Fridge at Swan?

I'm sure this info is somewhere else on the board, but the Swan FAQ is now 122 pages long and I couldn't get "search" to work, so I thought I'd just ask.

I noticed on wdwig that the Swan has a minibar that you can pay to have emptied (altho I don't quite understand if they charge you $20 to have it be empty PLUS an additional $25 if THEY empty it--so if someone could clear that up, I'd appreciate it:confused: ). It also says that the minibar is not as cold as a refrigerator. Does this mean that it wouldn't keep, say, a couple of 1/2-gallon containers of soy milk (the only reason we need a fridge at WDW) cold for a week or so?

I also recall reading somewhere that you cannot rent a fridge at the Swan. Yes? No? We made do with a cooler and bags of ice our last trip, but if the emptied minibar would work just as well, that'd be great.

BTW, my dh and I are part of the AP exodus to the Swan contingent. We'd originally wanted to stay at WL, but we've read so much about the Swan now that even if they come out with AP rates for early December, I don't think we'll switch.

thanks to everyone for your help --miffy--:earsgirl:

We recently stayed at the Swan. We saw the in-room fridge, but didn't even open it, so I can't help you with the coldness issue. However, you can rent a fridge, for I think, $10 a day. BUT, and this is just something I've read on these boards, I've read that if you need a fridge for medical reasons, they will give you one free of cost. If the soymilk is necessary for a medical problem I'd at least call, explain, and see what they say.
