I just called cro yesterday to make sure i can get a sharp container in our room for my sons needles, and they ask me if i needed a fridge too, i said how much is it? she said no charge if medically needed. so we have a fridge for his meds!!! she did put the request through special request first and came back and told us it was takin care of. no charge.
I thought this might help someone to try and get one.

That's good news. The reports over the past 2 years have been that they were charging for the refrigerators even for medical needs (even when going thru the Special Needs Department). People were told if they didn't want to pay, they could store their meds behind the desk at the check in area!
You are the second person who posted that they were told it would be no charge, so maybe they are changing back to the way it used to be.

I always thought it was ridiculous to charge people who need it for meds. I can't imagine leaving Chris' clotting factor behind a desk somewhere. That stuff costs way too much and can be difficult to replace.

Thanks for the notice....:)
