Fridays in April - Closing at 6pm?

We're in the process of planning our trip in late April. We're staying in RPR Fri-Sat and had been planning on doing VB on Friday. I thought maybe we can do the theme parks Friday night, but they both appear to be closing at 6pm despite being open until 8pm the night before and 10pm the next day. Does that sound right? Can I expect that to change later?

Does this usually mean that CityWalk will be more or less crowded you think?

It is their annual Grad Nights. I've heard that City Walk can get crowded that night (a portion of it is also used as part of the event), but no horror stories. I'm looking at a short trip during the same time frame so I've been keeping my ears open for reports.

Damn!! That was the night My wife and I planned to do CitiWalk and the different clubs. I am not doing that with 1000s of high schoolers running around.

Based on the information on their website, the Citywalk portion is over by 8pm.

Was there last year for my wife's birthday. Grad night was taking up the area where the Mexican restaurant and some of the clubs portion of City Walk. Once the grads moved out in a long long procession towards Islands of Adventure past Jimmy Buffets. It took me about 15 minutes of waiting to get in to Buffets, Universal Security was allowing all grads to proceed to the parks. After that City-Walk was normal

I would not change plans due to the Bash event

Some clubs are 21 and up
Rising Star is 18 and up
It’s popular with teens

We've been there during Grad Bash twice and it was fine. All the kids are in CityWalk while we're in the parks, then after the parks are closed kids go in and CityWalk is fine.
