I hope this works...had to draw it myself LOL

by taking the bricks (yes they are in bricks you just can't see them) one-by-one from the top of the pile form a correct sum

But Cami, surely if we have to take them one-by-one from the top of the pile its preset to be:

6 divided by + 2 9 4 x 4 = 5

And thats not a correct sum lol.

I'm so confused!!

DO they HAVE to be in the order they were removed?

you have to remove them as they become available

i.e. if you remove the 6 the next can be divide or plus.......remove the divide you can now use the 2 etc

no, they have to go in the order they become available

you couldn't put 6 divided by 5 for example....to get to the five you'd have to use at least 6, + and 4
