Friday Nights at Downtown Disney??

Are we crazy to go there on a Friday night?? Is it packed with locals? We just want to hit the shopping area (World of Disney side). Should I change my plans?

I find weekend nights to be very crowded. It may be locals, but I think it's more of a case of people going home the next day so getting all of their shopping done before they go!
