The Cast: Me 30 something total planner for holiday
DW 30 something likes a quiet life
DD 13 going on 21 total poser has an answer for everything
DS 10 nearly 11 loves soccer and winding us up
Today I went to the lounge while the gang lay sleeping got myself a coffee and settled down to read the NY times and watch those poor people have to leave while I still had a week of paradise left u get free refills on your coffee till 11 am while siting there feeling pretty mellow I saw a guy deliver fresh flowers for the lounge and it got me thinking I should get DW flowers as a thank you for renewing our vows so off I went to the concierge desk and spoke to Phoenix about getting flowers delivered he was most helpful and had a brochure of pictures of baskets etc I chose the most exotic one I saw medium size after tax and tip $100, Phoenix was really helpful and seemed genuinely pleased that we had renewed our wedding vows I left the cash with Phoenix to pay the delivery guy so feeling pretty pleased with myself I went back to the lounge and made up a tray of Danishs & cereal plus juice & milk and got a refill $12 in total after rising the gang who arose that bit quicker with the site of breakfast on the table we where showered and ready to go by 9.30 am we walked to I-Drive from RPR its not too bad a walk 15 minutes we caught an I-trolley at WnW to the Beltz factory it turned out there was a massive spring clearance sale going on outside it the Disney stall was 70% off everything we got loads of gifts and souvenirs also at the Nautica stall got trousers, tops etc dirt cheap it was very warm outside luckily there where a few stalls selling ice cold juice so we all had some me and DW even bought a couple of heavy winter jackets all the prices where so well reduced after a couple of hours and many bags we actually went in the mall we went into Universal outlet u would not believe how good value this store is everything was at least 50% off if not less we bought loads of photo frames we even bought 4 wine glasses and a decanter for $3 they where engraved with the IOA logo and frosted over they actually look pretty cool even although we had bought plenty of souvenirs at the parks at these prices u couldnt resist they where evening selling the cat in the hat refillable cup $3 it was $10 in the park exact same cup even some of the t-shirts where the same as being sold in the parks at a fraction of the cost we spent a good hour in there so many more bags later we headed to the jewellers where my DW tried on a ring then asked how much $11,000 reduced to $5, 000 I quickly left store with wallet and all cash she later found me white faced choking outside store we then went to the electrical store as I wanted an mp3 player I got one for $150 which was quite good as same model here in UK was £200 so I saved about £110 wife bought some shorts from levis at $25 each I think her ploy was at least its cheaper than the ring the kids where now in danger of dying of boredom although they kept cheering themselves up by saying y not get the ring mum? Just too see my face DS got a new pair of trainers and rucksack we then got a taxi back to the RPR it was now about 3 pm we off loaded the bags in the room there was a message from Phoneix to go to the fron desk he was now off duty so I spoke to someone else the flowers had arrived so I asked for them to be delivered and after 15 minutes they where DW was suprised and pleased she loves flowers and the exotic bouquet was beautiful they where covered in a big bow saying with love a nice touch which Phoneix had arranged for then we went to the pool we spent a couple of hours at the pool then about 5 pm DW went for a nap while me and kids hit super hero island the kids had a funnel sundae to share while I had a couple of beers at the backwater bar after all it was happy hour we rode the hulk 3 times spidey 2 times then storm force we left just before 7 but before leaving I treated my self to a panama hat & DD got a Betty Boop hat as well we awoke DW and we all changed and showered we had a reservation for the Trattoria at 8 .15 pm we got the boat to CW and changed for the PBH boat when we approached the restaurant a hotel guest was demanding a table but was being politely that they where fully booked tonight boy was I glad I had booked a few weeks ago we where shown to our table after 5 minutes our waiter at first was little aloof I had to ask for the wine list twice now I have ate in a lot of fancy restaurants and hotels through work etc and many functions and do find that some staff do look down their nose at customers so I like to remind them that its me that can afford to eat there they are actually paid to be there by me and I usually find that saying it in a loud voice not shouting just raised in conversation with wife has a desired effect DW gets embarrassed by this but I work hard for my money I wont be intimidated by surroundings( thats enough of me time to get off my soap box ) the waiter improved dramatically I had told DW and DD about the marshmallow milkshake which others on the board had recommended they both had 1 and they agree its delicious son had pepsi and I had a carafe of house white which was nice we all had the buffet the buffet was excellent great selection also the chef was there and u selected the pasta u wanted with the ingredients and he cooked it for u there and then the deserts also where superb only characters where Scooby and Woody but the kids where happy enough all in all a good meal total with tip $100 and worth it, we wandered over to the thirst fish it was about 10.30 pm now they had a happy hour of $2 for draft beer after 10 pm how excellent I thought so we sat by the harbour and I had a couple of beers kids played games in the bar it was nice to just chill out we left PBH about 11.30 pm we got back to RPR about 11.45 pm kids and DW straight to bed but not before me I felt pretty tired must be something I ate
