So we got off the train at Mickey's Toon Town and lo and behold there were TONS of characters signing autographs right outside the station with no crowd. These were fairly random characters; Friar Tuck and Mr. Smee from Peter Pan. The mice who sewed Cinderella's dress for the ball. Rafiki, the strange monkey guy from the Lion King.

Armed with three (3) Official Disney Autograph Books, we approached the greeting area. With a very shy baby Hannah on my hip, I took my eldest daughter Sarah to see the nice mice while husband Michael and 4-year-old Jacob went over to Friar Tuck. Soon we were done with the signings and heading to the nearby playground area to eat our lunch.

After the kids scurried off, Michael pulled Jacob's autograph book from the backpack and flipped to the page where Tuck had signed. To my amazement, I read "Friar F#$@". The poor guy must have been having an off day. You could tell he'd tried to correct it. He went over the offensive "f" like seven times trying to fix it into a more appropriate "t", but to no avail. Unfortunately, you can't change an f to a t.

Being the Unofficial Disney Freaks that we are, we know that under NO circumstance are the characters allowed to speak from under their costumes. Michael said that after the futile attempts at correcting the erroneous explitive, poor old Friar Tuck just raised both hands in a shrug and looked at Michael, at which point Michael burst into laughter and patted the guy (girl?) on the back. :rotfl2:

I don't know where to begin! But, it was always tuck when I was in school! Time to change my ID. I've been tainted! :sad2: Next, it's going to be now White instead of Snow White! :rolleyes1

I know I shouldn't but . . . . :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That is just KILLING me!!! How FUNNY!!! I would be in shock and then I would probably fall over laughing!!

i know i probably shouldn't say this.. but that spot is where trainies do their last two days of training. So that may account for the mistake.

:rotfl2: I'm guessing this is their "pet name" for this character. This is a good example of something my mom used to say: don't use bad words in private because they'll find a way to come out in public. And boy howdy :lmao:

Hmmm, I probably wouldn't put that autograph like that on my site!!! :teeth: :teeth:

I guess since the word "Friar" starts with an F, maybe the character just started writing the second word "Tuck" with the wrong first letter .....! :)

The ToonTown Train Station is one of the best, if not THE best, place to meet a large group of unusual characters. The location is only sporatically used - so if you find characters there, get them fast! Usually it's a great group to meet! :)
