I'm about to become a frequent Virgin (No comments please! ;) )

If I book on-line and get the 10% discount for doing so do I still get a Frequent Virgin Discount as well?

Are there other perks involved?

Thanks.

The online discount varies from 5% to 10% and the FV discount is 10% BUT you won't get both! If you book online, you can then tel or email FVC and they will apply the benefits and discount. Difference is online discount applies ONLY to the basic holiday cost whereas FVC discount applies to ALL costs including ins, upgrades, attraction tickets etc:Pinkbounc
Other "perks" include automatic car upgade on mainland USA, exclusive FVC VIP tours, magazine which comes a couple of times a year, an annual party and paricipating hotels provide some perks eg free drink, fruit in room, room upgrade etc:Pinkbounc
The biggest drawback is that because the discount makes the price competitive, we tend to book almost exclusively with Virgin (obviously the idea) and this does restrict your choice. We've saved thousands of pounds over the years by being FV's.

Hi Xavier

We recently joined the Frequent Virgin Club. If you book on-line thru Virgin Holidays you will get a 10% discount on the adult price. When you get to the end of your booking they will replace (I think at a later date) the on-line discount for the FVC discount.
Now, we have booked next years holiday and we rang Virgin direct and got 10% off the total booking.

Have you actually joined the club yet? It took about a month for our membership cards to come thru, the family got one each along with a hand luggage card, then we recieved one rather nice Virgin backpack (I claimed that) which came at a later date.

I hope this helps

I have just applied for membership of the FVC as I have just booked our 3rd trip. Will they apply the discounts to the current trip or the next one. I'm particularly interested as we've paid to upgrade the car to I4 - I don't want any bigger as the insurance costs then rise but I'd like the upgrade fee back if I can get it.

Hi Libby

I believe your discount will apply to your next booking, as you have to have flown 3 times to qualify.

Libby, the FV discounts will apply to your THIRD trip, so you will get a free car upgrade. Give them a ring once your FV card comes through and they will sort it all out for you.

Allie5 is correct. You only have to have booked your third to trip to be eligible for FVC membership, not necessarily taken it! My third Virgin trip is next April but I already have my membership details sorted out and my discount applied. Saving myself almost £400 into the bargain!!
