hi all :) i just completed my first pinecone research survey, and the last page said i'd be contacted in a few WEEKS to particpate in a new one...is this accurate? will it really be that long? if you participate, how long was it before you were sent your 2nd survey? thanks for your help :)

I've been a pinecone member for years. Yes, it is a few WEEKS for a new survey. Not a lot of money, but it's fun helping new products get into the market (or not). HTH.

Hi, I think my average is 3- 5 surveys a month. I have gotten a few really good products from the to test as well, which is awesome because, they pay $5 for the survey, send the free product, then $5 for the follow up survey usually! I love Pinecone. May not be really frequent but it is nice extra money and fun too. I find the more surveys you do the more they send. So, don;t miss any sureveys they send or it seems to slow down. HTH. Chris.

I also get one or two a month. I haven't recieved a product to test in a long time! My teenagers get them on occasion too!

I just joined pinecone too - in the last week. I just took my second survey yesterday.
Looks like I shouldn't get used to that though!

Joined a week and a half ago, received 1st survey, got check 3 days later. Recieved second survey yesterday. Each survey took around 10 minutes.

I get about 1-2/month. Fun to get their little check in the mail -goes right into the WDW fund! :cool1:

this sounds like fun and a new way to make a little extra money for the Disney fund. could someone please list a link or address so I could give it a try. :) thanks so much. :wave2:

Unfortunately, joining up with them can be a bit tricky. You cannot go directly to their website to join -you need to find one of their banners on another site to link and join that way, or get a referral from a member. The banners can be hard to find -I've never seen one. Members can't refer just anytime -on occasion Pinecone will send out referrals to members to give out. I found a referral offer posted here from a Diser - Pinecone was looking for families with boys from ages 13-17 in them. I emailed her and she sent me the referral by email. You kind of have to be in the "right place at the right time", but be persistent watching this board and the DIS rewards board. It is fun, never takes much time, and they are super fast about paying. Good luck! :goodvibes

I joined a week ago, did my first survey and the check came today!

tammy/mom of two- There is another thread on this board with a link to sign up. Do a search for it and you should have no problem signing up.

I just wanted to say that I got my second survey last night after I posted :cool1:

I just signed up yesterday afternoon, and found my first survey link in the mail today. Can't wait to get started!

This is a reprint of a post that I made on another thread. I would take a minute to read this and to heed its warning:

Let me remind all Pinecone members that they are VERY particular about not posting ANYTHING about banners, products and surveys on message boards and chat rooms. Here is a quote from an e-mail that I got from them in July:

While everyone likes to discuss what’s going on in their lives, talking about your work with PineCone can quickly become a security issue. To avoid this, please limit your survey and product testing experiences to your household. This includes posting product descriptions and images or our registration link in Internet chat rooms or on message boards. To learn more about member confidentiality, click on the attached link.

http://www.pineconeresearch.com/membership_agreement.htm

In that link is this reminder:
Some of our members have been tempted to discuss products and their experiences on chat rooms and bulletin boards on-line. While they were well-intentioned, we regard this as a security breach and cause for removal from the panel.

To avoid any potential confusion, here is a listing of types of activities that will result in removal:

* Posting of product descriptions or names on chat rooms
* Copying of product ideas
* Selling test product
* Discussing the survey or product with anyone outside your immediate household
* Allowing someone outside your household to try the product

Let me share with you a little story about what happened with ME last year. I had been a Pinecone member for about a year. Someone posted something about Pinecone on this board. I can't recall what it was - a request for a banner or perhaps it was a "open call" to current members for new members? Anyway, another Pinecone member told me to remind people about Pinecone's strictness about posting the registration link and sometimes even just DISCUSSING it.

Well, I wanted to make sure that this was stated at Pinecone itself and looked all over the place for something stating this.

When I was unable to find it, I e-mailed Karen Scott telling her that I was a moderator on a message board and I was wondering if people could even just discuss Pinecone on the boards. She simply referred me the FAQ's on the Pinecone site.

And I never received another survey.

After some months, I e-mailed Karen again and told her that I had not been receiving any surveys. She told me that my name was no longer in their database. :( She said the only way to become a member again would be to find another banner.

Luckily, I was able to register again some months later. Which I did. With a new e-mail address - just to be cautious.

And I have been receiving surveys ever since.

But I just wanted to warn the rest of you to PROTECT your Pinecone membership by being VERY cautious about what you post so that you don't lose your membership in a very good program.

Thank you for the link, I reallly appreciate it. :goodvibes Hopefully I will meet their criteria and be able to participate. I did not realize that someone could lose their priviledges, hopefully your helpfullness did not get you in any trouble. :wave2:

I suspect the link will not be of help to those who try it. In the past, prior to becoming a member, I had tried to follow the link when people posted it here - each time I received an email back from Pinecone advising something to the effect of not being eligiible. I'm thinking they may be able to tell if you weren't directed to their link the proper way.

I apologize for posting the link. That was the link someone else posted on another thread and how I joined.
