French Quarter Room Question

I've got a quick question. My family is traveling with another family to DW. We are staying in the Port Orleans French Quarter section. Do they have any rooms that connect? Also...any suggestions on where in the FQ we should stay?
Thanks! :earsboy:

Yes they have connecting rooms. You really can't go wrong with your building choices since POFQ is so small. Building 5 if you want to be right next to the pool. Buildings 3 or 4 if you want to be nearer the food court and bus stop.

We've had connecting rooms at POFQ both times we stayed there. There is a great map of POFQ on this website- look it up- it's great! POFQ is very small so room location shouldn't be a big deal- not a far walk to/from anywhere. Buildings 4, 3, 5, and 2 (I believe) seem to be the closest to everything.
Have a wonderful stay! princess:

Just got back this morning. We were in bldg 5, standard view, No Smoking and it was an excellent location.

Does anyone remember which buildings are non-smoking? I'm just curoius because my only request was for non-smoking (ds has asthma) and I don't want to be surprised when I check in. If I know beforehand I can make sure at check in I'm in the right building.

As said there are connecting rooms... However I would make sure to request a 'connecting room for families' in advance (i.e. ASAP) due to the limited number of them.

Thanks so much for all the info! I will check out the map and definately tell my travel agent that I want connecting rooms.

According to mouseplanet.com (http://www.mouseplanet.com/dtp/wdwguide/4_Accommodations/PORFQ.htm) buildings 2 and 4 are smoking buildings... I think I also read somewhere that the top floor of building 6 is smoking as well.

Allearsnet.com (http://allearsnet.com/acc/faq_po.htm) confirms buildings 2 and 4 as smoking, as well as the top 2 floors of building 6 (not just the top floor as I mentioned previously)...

What types of rooms are there?

There are approximately 1,000 guest rooms ; 946 rooms have 2 double beds and 62 rooms have a king-size bed (with a higher room rate). There are also 12 disabled-accessible rooms. There are smoking and nonsmoking rooms (Buildings 2, 4 and the top 2 floors of 6 are designated Smoking rooms.). The typical room is 314 sq. feet.

we were in Building 2 in October and our room was definitely not a smoking room - i don;t know if the top floor was (we were on the ground floor) but we didn't notice any smoke at all
