French attack was "made up"

The recent disturbing attack in Paris involving a woman and her child being attacked by racists has turned out to be fictuous. The "victim" changed her story and yesterday admitted to the police that she had staged the entire event; she has a history of claiming crimes to which there appear to be no culprits. Suspicion was initially raised when none of the twenty supposed witnesses came forwards.

The French President is said to be embaressed that he moved so swiftly to condemn the attacks whilst having no substantial evidence.

While the attack may have been ficticious, It did contribute to a history makeing event. THE FRENCH PRESIDENT WAS EMBARRASSED!! I didn't think it was possible for Chirac to be embarrassed.

That he was embarassed is obviously more important to you than that he condemned anti Semitism. The man deserves a pat on the back -- too bad the "victim" is a liar -- she cast aspersions on real victims with her tall tale.

Chirac hasn't done enough in France to condemn anti semitism. It is running rampant. His answer to the question of antisemitism is to prohibit school children from wearing burkas and yalmulkas.
