Never tried it with meringues. Do they get mushy as they thaw out? Let us know please, I love making these cookies, and would really love to know if they freeze well and taste the same afterwards!
You know, this is day 3 of the freezing process. I took out cookies the last 2 days and they seem to do all right. I thaw them naturally on the counter. Wouldn't it be great for church receptions if I could make and freeze these for a couple days. Anything but last minute baking.
However, I think these are tricky to make and have come out all right. Separating the eggs was the hardest part. Mine was beginner's luck.
