Has anyone ever froze a lasagna? How did you freeze it? Did it reheat well? I made mine with cottage cheese, and it is in an aluminum lasagna pan covered with foil. Can I freeze it this way? Will the cottage cheese freeze and reheat well?

Thanks for any help. :D

I freeze mine all the time, because my recipe makes such a big batch. I usually make mine in a glass baking dish and once it cools I wrap it in aluminum foil and freeze it.
When I'm want to have it for dinner I take it out of the aluminum foil and put in a baking dish and re heat it at a low temp until it is cooked through.

Hi Sherry.....well, if you aren't sharing with me ;) then freeze it.
It freezes fine......and reheats fine. Think of the huge Stoffer's lasagna you can buy in the freezer sections :teeth:

Nancy, come on over and I'll share. ;)

Thanks for the help helenk, and Nancy. :)

When we make lasagna, we make 2 big ones, one to eat right away and one to freeze. I don't freeze the whole thing though, because there is only 3 of us. I let it cool and then cut it into large individual slices and put it into the freezer ziploc bags. Then there is lunch/dinner in the freezer for any of us and if we all want some I can take it out and heat up 3. We also freeze some of the big one we eat right away as left overs. It works well for us because we're always looking for something quick but good when we get home from work, or the last minute lunch when we haven't had leftovers from dinner the night before!:p
