We are coming (first trip) at the end of November. We originally planned to arrive Saturday, Nov. 25th, but due to airfare, we are now coming Friday evening.

Saturday is just a freebie day for us (the rest of our party is coming Sunday).

Any advice on how to spend the day? What about Downtown Disney? Should we venture to one of the parks? I should tell you that I'm a little overwhelmed by the whole thing. My sister (a WDW veteran) is coming Sunday and acting as our tour guide.

My girls will be 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 at the time of our trip and ALL about princesses. Whatever we do end up doing, I don't want to pay extra, like Bibbity bobbity boutique (sp?)

Any advice?

Downtown Disney is fun, but will probably end up costing extra money.

If your girls are all about princesses, how about taking them to the MK and just do main street and Fantasy Land (Right behind Cindy's Castle). If you just focus on those areas I wouldn't fear going to a park without a tour guide. Just explore at your leisure on your freebie day (wherever you end up), and don't worry about missing anything - your sister will be there the next day to show you anything that you may have missed. Also seeing it on your own you may just see things that your Disney Expert Sister may have missed!

Have fun!

Is your sister the only other person coming or are you part of a group? Are your kids the youngest? I know we never wd have been able to arrive at wdw for the 1st time & not head to the MK asap. It will probably still be rather busy the Sat after Thanksgiving but if you get to the MK at park opening time(the schedule shd be out next week) you shd be able to do all of Fantasyland & maybe Toon Town w/out much of a wait at all. All the rides & shows here are very close together so you won't have alot of walking to do. Don't worry, the girls will want to come back here again so you can still do the MK with your sister, etc. Leave the park by lunch at the latest & rest up & swim for the afternoon. Are you staying at a Disney resort? They will all be decorated for Christmas by then, you cd ride the resort monorail, stop at each resort(CR, GF, & Poly) & see their decorations, perhaps have dinner?
