Do DVC owners still get free valet parking at BWV,BCV, and VWL? How about any of the other Deluxe propertys?

Thanks,

DVC owners get free valet parking at any other DVC location - but only at those locations.

You'll get free valet parking (but you still need to tip) at BC, WL and BW. No valet parking at SSR or OKW. You'll have to pay for valet parking at CR, GF, Polynesian, YC and AK (until the villas open there and DVC lists it as a free valet parking for DVC members). Swan and Dolphin are not considered Disney resorts so you'll have to pay there as well.

Unless you're visiting to have a meal and have a DDE card, in which case valet parking is free.

None of the others (OKW, SSR, HH, VB) have valet parking.
We usually tip $2 on pickup. We only tip on drop off or more if there is a reason for it though there frequently is. These might be that it's raining, they were especially quick or helpful, remembered our names and the like. If you do a search for tipping etiquette, you will find that ours is right in the middle of what is portrayed where many says $1-2 on pick up and some say $2-3. I've done this search a number of times and only once did I find anything that listed a higher amount or both ways. You can do what you feel comfortable with.

If i'm a DVC member but staying off site or only visiting for a day can I part at a DVC resort and ride the bus to the park to avoid the parking fee at the park?

what is the fee now anyway?

No, parking at the resort is for the guests staying at the resort or for guests taking part in activities at the resort (dining, shopping). DVC members do not get free theme park parking.

If you also happen to be an annual pass holder, parking at the theme parks is included. Just show your AP to the person taking $$$ at the parks.

But as the Deb & Bill said, parking at the resorts for park access is not allowed.

what does it cost to park? If AP holders get free parking It may pay me to buy an AP instead of another type of pass and pay for parking. I'll have to do the math but that would be a factor.

I think it is $10 per day for the parks.

and what does an AP cost for DVC members?

Other than free paraking does it provide any other discounts?

There are a few other discounts but not enough to be worth buying other than the parking discount if it applies. But given most of us will need some type of ticket if we visit and that it's frequently possible to get multiple trips out of one AP, that can be a great option for many. allearsnet.com has a listing and comparison of the 3 main discounts (AP, DDE, DVC).

I was going to post a valet parking question today, but I'll hop on this thread instead.

Can you use this perk with more than one car at a time? I'm the DVC member. My mom will be joining us mid-way through our week at BWV. Can I show my DVC card and have hers valet parked for free even though mine is already there?

Thanks!

Free valet parking is a member perk and is not transferrable.

The truth is that there really isn't a formal rule in this area. All it says is that you must show your member card. I can't speak for intent but from a practical standpoint I'd say if you're present with your blue card when the car is parked, you'll be fine. Specifically there is no stated rule that says one car only or even one per member or that it must be the members car.
