free vacation??

Anyone here ever win a free Disney vacation, or more importantly, does anyone know how to get a free Disney vacation??

I think if we knew how to get a free trip, we would all be doing it

Well, I won a trip in 2002 that my family took in 2003. It was a radio station contest with WDW trivia questions. I was one of 45 qualifiers and won. We got a 5 night stay at GF, tickets, airline and transfers, recreation money, and some Disney Dollars. The taxes on it were HUGE, but we had to look at it as being a lot less than we would have paid to do the trip on our own.

You just have to be on the lookout for all the contests that you can find....and there are a lot out there each year (radio, online, in magazines, in newspapers, etc) Enter everything you can, you never know!

Just remember....it won't be FREE, there will be taxes to pay on the costs.

The only way I found was to work at WDW! I used to love taking mini "vacations" and spending as little money as possible. I think the best day I had as a "Guest" at the Magic Kingdom, I paid only for the gas to get there and my lunch at the Cast Member cafeteria.

My mom won a trip to Disneyland a long time ago when Toon Town was introduced there. Disney came to the local mall and my mom entered into a drawing and won!!!!

I won a trip for four from Radio Disney that we took last May. We got airfare, 3 nights at AKL Savannah view and 4 day park hoppers for each of us.
It was fabulous. I had to come up with transportation to AKL and meal money.

As far as taxes, you can dispute the value claimed by the prize company. I printed out what the trip would have cost using my best budget board techniques (great code for AKL not rack rate, park hoppers thru Orlando Vacations, etc). The IRS accepted that as a fair market value on the trip.
