I was hoping to squeeze in a trip to WDW before my youngest turns 3 to save a bit of money on the park ticket. Can we plan our trip to coincide with his birthday or will that negate us not having to pay for him? He's a september baby so I was also hoping for either free dining or a Magical Beginnings package/discount during that time.

Thanks in advance,
Chereya

As long as you check in before he turn 3, he will be free for the entire stay. We will be celebrating our ds's 3rd birthday at disney world this year as well!

When you buy the tickets do you need proof of age?

You don't need proof when buying. We'll bring a copy of DS' birth certificate "just in case" since he is a large child and turns 3 during the trip (we asked a CM to verify that he stays free for the whole trip and we were told that is true).

WE were in WDW 2 months before our tall 2yo turned 3. The only problem was the dining plan. Always dbl check your table service count before you leave the restaurant. We had to have it corrected a few times because they took off a child's meal from our plan.
