Free shuttle from DTD to Outlet Mall?

Hi Folks

I am taking ME to Pop and intend on using WDW busses around the "World"

But, I would love to have a day offsite to go shopping.

Before anyone suggests I rent a car, let me tell you that although I drive in my local area, I am VERY nervous about driving in any area I'm unfamiliar with

Has anyone done the free shuttle from DTD to the outlet mall?

My other option is to take a taxi, but I don't want to pay lots of $ for it (going to an outlet mall to save money doesn't make sense spending any savings on taxi)

Does anyone else know of other options?

I didn't even know there was a free shuttle between DTD and the outlet mall.

You can take a shuttle to Lake Buena Vista outlet from Buena Vista Palace in Downtown Disney.

There is a Super Walmart near the outlet Mall you can walk to or cab to from the outlet mall for around $5. I usually walk over from the outlet and cab back to the outlet and then catch the shuttle. They have a great selection of Disney souvenior and clothing and pins for cheap prices...

Technically, there isn't a bus from DTD....maybe from one of the resorts that are beside DTD but not from DTD itself. Most of the resorts are a bit of a walk from the Disney bus stops at DTD.
I would prefer to take a cab, but that's me.

I'm looking to go to the Orlando Premium Outlets but have no idea how to get there. Does anyone know if they provide a shuttle like Lake Buena Vista outlets do or have you ever taken a taxi from DTD to these outlets?

We went to the Orlando Premium Outlets last year while at WDW. Sadly, there isn't a free shuttle that goes there. We took a cab from Downtown Disney. Fare came to not more than US$15 (i really cannot recall exactly how much it was). I debated between going to Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlets and Premium Outlets. In the end, we decided on Premium coz there's a Coach store there! We enjoyed our day at the Premium Outlets! SO much to see, do and buy!

Thanks. I have asked this question a few times with no response. Glad to know what the cab fare would be. When we used to drive down we would go to this outlet as the stores are great and they have a disney outlet there.
