Free samples from companies for welcom bags

I know there are MANY threads on here about welcome bags, but I havent seen one yet on just the different samples you can get for the bags. I was wondering if brides could post the different samples they included and/or how future brides can get in contact with different companies to start collecting free samples. I think this will be very helpful... I know it will be for me!!

What I did was write the companies an email about the product I wanted to include in my welcome bags. I explained the situation and asked if they could provide me with some samples or coupons for free samples from stores. Majority of companies I emailed did infact send me some coupons. It helped out majorly. I also emailed the Skin Cancer foundation for samples of sunscreen and they so graciously sent me TONSSS of different kinds of sunscreen for my guests to use. HTH

I tried this but EVERY single company I wrote too said no, and a few were kind of rude about it.

If you cannot get free samples you can get some really, really good deals by using coupons at Walgreens and/or CVS. AfullCup.com basically tells you exactly how to do it. I can usually score free toothpaste, almost free shampoos, inexpensive sunblock, soaps, and many other things that would go in the welcome bags. I'm in FL so I prefer SouthernSavers.com but I think it only applies to stores/sales in the south. That is how I plan on filling my welcome bags.

Following totallytarget and CouponingtoDisney on Facebook...they tell you how to match a manufacturer coupon with a target coupon and how to get items for free! All of the above were free by following their methods of couponing

Target allows you to use one coupon that they give out plus one manufacturers coupon for ONE item..thus if an items is two dollars and you get a dollar coupon for Target and one coupon from the manufacturer...the item is FREE!

Well THAT is where the issue is, technically you are not suppose to photo copy but I have and they say to me, "well as long as it scans we accept it." I am having 20 or so people my wedding which breaks down to 10 bags so it has been a bit more manageable...

I am not condoning copying, however, it works!

when in doubt you just say you don't know or not sure how it all works...

You cannot photo copy a coupon from a newspaper, circular, etc. that is def. a big no no!

You are not supposed to copy coupons but you can order them in lots on Ebay from people who hoard newspapers and cut out loads of coupons for a living. I've ordered then on ebay once and they were really inexpensive, I think I paid $2 including shipping for 20 $1 off coupons. Most, if not all, printable coupons have a printing limit of 2 per IP address. You can go to a friend's house and print another 2 though.

I tried getting free sunscreen and didn't even get a response let alone one coupon! For my welcome bags I used coupons to get free first aid kits from target. They were the travel size ones. I used coupons for most of the other items in our bags. I had a number of people save me their coupons from the newspaper if there was one I needed.

Try emailing the skin cancer foundation. They will definitely give you some free samples. Tell them how many people you are expecting and they will ship them to you.

We are talking about computer coupons, not the ones out of a newspaper...the printable ones need to be able to to be scanned or they will usually turn you away...

I struck a deal with my newspaper guy..any extra coupons he has at the end of his run he gives to me on my steps, I leave him a bag of "goodies" that I got for free that week!

Aquafresh has a coupon on their website for $1 off any aquafresh extreme clean. You can get the trial size at walmart or target for free with the coupon. Also, they have a separate coupon for $0.50 off the trial size.
