What is your experience with the tours offered for certain rides like MiB and Kong?

I seldom see them mentioned for as cool as they sound. I've never done one but would love to try it out. Are there other rides that do this and how frequently are they actually offered? I've even heard sometimes they will take you right on the ride afterwards.

We will be going on March 2, so I'm thinking it might be too busy for them to offer this but I would love to try it. Any personal experience with these?

I have done the MIB. We went during a slower time at end of August. Had to ask and ask and ask and then got lucky, and had a very nice TM let us spend as much time downstairs as we wanted. Cool to see up close.

We meant to do the mummy tour, but never got around to it.

Just ask and ask and maybe you will get lucky.

The Mummy tour is something I'll hope to do, I'll be there for a week so fingers crossed!

I went in November and tried 4 different times to do the MiB tour. Each time I was told they weren't doing it that day. So it seems to be hit or miss.

So sounds like I can't count on actually getting to do any of these. And definitely can't count on getting backdoored onto the ride afterwards. I was hoping that might be a nice little hack, especially for Kong.

Does anyone know the name of the Kong tour? I know MiB is the Immigration Tour and Mummy is the Production Tour. I'm not sure if you have to actually know these to request it.

Yes, they do. Although they left us for a little while on the MiB tour.....

It`s quite fun and you learn a few "secrets" at times......but, it depends on how they are for TM at any particular time…..

You can ask the person that stands at the entrance........they won’t find you bothersome at all......if they can do it they will.......

My dd and I got up for early entrance one morning over Christmas week. MiB walk-on. Asked about immigration tour and TM told me they haven’t done those in a couple months, that they were told to stop. He urged me to write GS as the TMs wanted to bring tour back. As it was Christmas week really didn’t expect the tours to run, but didn’t realize no longer offered (at least-per that TM)
