Free places to park near Disneyland?

I've looked this question up on the internet and all the responses seem to be outdated since many of the lots near Disney tow if you leave the premises. My friend and I are both annual passholders and lately we've been going once every week or 2, but hers includes free parking and mine does not. If I have to, I'll pay the $25, but that can get expensive for how often I'll go. Is there any way I can park somewhere near Disney so that my friend can just give me a lift to the parking lot?

How near are we talking? You might find parking at the ARTIC, but it's not necessarily what I'd consider close. The idea would be to park at ARTIC and take a bus to DL. Or, even better, just take the train to the ARTIC and dump the car altogether.

You can park here and your friend can pick you up. Or you can take a bus (not sure how much the bus it...)

Whatever you decide, don't park in any of the neighborhoods surrounding the parks that have the permit signs. If the signs say you'll be towed, you will be towed, This has happened to more than one person on this board -- an expensive and not a fun way to end your day in the parks.

I 'think' it's at the SE corner. Take the #15 ART bus. Was thinkin about takin the train to Anaheim.
