I saw a post that said:

FREE PARKING:

Walt Disney World Resort Guests
Annual Passholders
:thumbsup2

We are staying at the Swan - is that considered a WDW Resort hotel to qualify for free parking at any of the 4 parks? I know we will have to pay a daily parking fee at the Swan, and the WDW transportation system is great, but there may be a day when we want to drive our rental car and park at one the 4 parks. I know that we can't use the ME, but since we are driving to WDW, that doesn't matter.

I think I can get a AAA diamond parking card when I buy my 5 day passes from AAA which will just get me a parking spot closer to the MK park entrance. My hotel ressies were made through Dreams Unlimited.

Please fill me in on who's entitled to Free Park Parking... Thanks.

Parking is free to all Swan and Dolphin guests as well at all of the parks. Just show your resort key when you pass through the parking plazas at the parks.

With the exception of ME, DDP, charge backs to the room (outside the S/D) and the DDE card, the S/D pretty much has all of the other perks all of the WDW owned resorts do.

AAA parking pass- some have been able to get it with just tix or by asking at local office.

Officially (and most people have had this result) the AAA parking pass is only if you book a package through AAA.

Good luck though, it's worth a try!!

Maybe I'll just have my husband drop me off to check in all the luggage, he and the kids can go to Epcot or MGM just to park the car, and get back to the Swan with the Disney transporation? We could then leave the car there except for when we need to drive somewhere? Epcot and MGM are closer to the Swan I think. :smooth:

I'm sure there must be some restrictions on "long term" parking at the four parks; like no overnight parking right? Otherwise I'll be paying $8 day ($56) to park at the Swan. (It can't hurt to ask before we go, rather than to wait until we get there and learn the hard way - like after the car is towed???)

Parking should be free with any WDW resort ID and I know it is with an anuual pass since we use ours regularly (twice in the last week alone). I would advise against leaving your car parked in any of the park lots overnight, even if they allow it. It may not be as secure as at the resorts.

LOL!! That's a creative thought :rotfl2: I should have thought of that one. :rotfl: But, I have to agree I wouldn't feel real secure about leaving my car there overnight and don't know if they tow or ticket. Wonder if there's any signs around?? like...:rolleyes1 "NO PARKING OVERNIGHT "ESPECIALLY" IF YOU'RE TRYING TO GET OUT OF PAYING FOR PARKING AT YOUR RESORT". :rotfl:

For that matter, you miles well try parking at the BW?? But...Ahhh, that won't work either cause they give you a temp pass to park there if you're not a guest staying at the resort, oh the flames, the flames :guilty:

OH well, just the way it goes I guess  You had to pay a resort fee before of $10 a night so I'd just look at it that way since there's no more resort fee.

I know there's a Free Parking space next to Boardwalk... um, maybe that's too far away... and you might have to pay a $75 luxury tax too...

(sorry, I've been waiting weeks to use that one) :teeth:
