I was googling something and came across this site

It made me think of the podcast since many of the ideas have been shared on the show. Our favorite "free" souvenir was the homemade autograph book that was inspired by the one Dave made for his daughters and designed by Penny (Chaoscent) - I printed Penny's designs of the characters as 4x6 photos and put them in a 4x6 dollar store photo album. In the parks, DD had the characters sign their autographs on their own photos with the sharpie we carried. The characters loved it! We took pictures of DD with each of the characters and put that picture beside the one they signed. It made for an awesome souvenir when we got home - DD loves looking at the album with her photo next to the autographed one.

ETA: I found a thread with directions and even a link to Penny's awesome designs! http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2323160

What is your favorite Disney souvenir?

Do kids count?

I think the op may have meant that the child was "created" at Disney.

 I thought you and Nikki promised not to tell anyone?
Actually, I was thinking more in line with Teresa's $2500 vacation challenge. Even though there is money to work with now, choosing your souvenirs is can be a challenge. Pete isn't just giving her the credit card and saying, "Go for it". So planning ahead can make the souvenir extra special. In our case, anyone can just buy an autograph book - ours is extra special because the characters signed on their own photo. You could tell how excited they were about it - even full costumed characters would show their picture to the cast member with them which made my DD giggle. If your goal is to press pennies, making sure you have enough pennies and quarters is important. I was just throwing it out there for suggestions for Teresa's challenge and to get ideas for our future trips. If not for the boards, I would never have seen Dave's idea and Penny's photos.
