Free Internet when renting points?

I know this has been asked before, but I keep finding conflicting answers. Can non-DVC members staying on rented points get free internet and is it wired or WiFi?

Wi-fi is not available.

DVC members get free internet. Renters technically no but some have gotten it. Some members have even been charged and had to have it reversed by showing the blue member card. You would not be able to do that since you are not a member.

I would not count on free internet but consider it pixie dust if it happens.

You may get it or you may not. As a renter, you are not officially entitled to free Internet, only members are. That said, sometimes renters are not identified as such and therefore get free access. I've seen a number of posts more recently where members were charged for Internet in error, requiring them to go to the front desk and show their membership card to have the charges reversed. You will not be able to do that since you are not the member.

If they charge you, it's $9.95 per 24 hours of continuous access.
There is no wireless, only wired.

The charge for the internet would be applied to your room account, not charged back to the member. It would only go back to the member if your room charges were refused by your CC company and didn't get resolved.
