Free Internet start date?

staying at the BCV and everyday we sign on to the internet still says $9.95 will be charged. LIFERBABE and i both called, well she called, i kept getting a busy signal from MS and MS said the spring of 2008 that they were still working out some issues.

Don't forget, if it is "wired" you can still make it "wireless" yourself. just bring your own wireless router and presto!

Well, no surprise, I was billed $9.95 for the 1 day we did use it here at SSR. I paid it, without protest.

I forgot to add, that when I called MS, they said they needed to set up the "infrastructure" to provide it for free I guess telling the Front Desk to reverse any charges is not infrastructure enough

I have dial up that I am using now. At least the phone call is free
I double checked with the front desk, jic.

And for those that feel deceived, welcome to the world of Jim Lewis. That's exactly how we felt when on the 2006 Member Cruise he announced the MC 2007 and asked us all if we wanted to do it again. Everyone applauded and cheered, but he knew full well that the booking process was designed to eliminate most of us from being able to book again because they wanted fresh meat to add on.

I thought that was what was reported from the Annual Meeting. I don't see how hard it would be to start it as of January 1 though.

I will be there on Jan. 1 with my laptop and asking for my FREE internet as soon as I wake up on Jan. 1. I will call down to front desk and ask. If I get on I will post here to let everyone know.

Just got back from Disney.......WOW was it cold yesterday!

Anyways, there was NO free internet, the pay screen came up on my laptop when I plugged in. I did call down to the front desk and they searched around and found a memo about it and told me that it will be offered to DVC members in SPRING 2008.

That's the latest!

I didn't pay at the BW or SSR. I had to use 56 to get me online( technical problems) and the BW didn't bill me. 56 which is (tech services) told me to have SSR reverse the charges as the memo 56 has is that there was free internet starting in Jan. SSR reversed the charges but told me they will charge until sometime in the Spring of 2008.
