We showed up at Magic Kingdom with our back packs full of salad "stuff" including dressing.

When it came to lunch. we went to Pacos Bill's and used the "fixing's bar" to supplement our salads.

It was great. We loaded up, ate like kings, and it was all FREE !!!!!

The fixins' bar is for customers of the restaurant. You brought your own food and were not customers, therefore you should not have loaded up to "supplement your salads." I'm surprised none of the workers said anything to you. They really should have.

Would you walk into Pondarosa or Old Country Buffet with food from home and "supplement your meal" for free? If you did, they would probably call the police on you.

What you did is nothing to brag about. I personally think it's shameful. Please do not do this again.

You did NOT pay for the food that you used, nor did you pay for ANYTHING while in that establishment. Considering there is no sign saying 'help yourself to our fixins', what you did was theft.

So often these days we hear complaints about the high cost of going to WDW. This is just a small sample of the daily costs that Disney has to contend with, that cause the rising prices.

What a great example to set for your children. What's even worse is that you brag about it. Very sad

I'm calling BS on this one. First off, who carries SALAD in their backpacks? Second, read the trip report in his signature...this just isn't true. Now, figuring out WHY someone would want to post untrue stuff online just to make people mad is another question.

I'm thinking...trying out for reality TV show?

A major Harry Potter/Universal fan trying to start something on the Disboards?

Or

Writing a book and trying out his skills on unsuspecting people who believe him? FYI - you're not JK Rowling.

Any other ideas?

Read his trip report... . He likes telling a story. You all can relax. There are a few things that get people all wild: eating from the fixin' bar is one of them, along with pool hopping, and mugs. The responses are always the same and very predictable. I am sure he just wanted to see how long it would take for people to jump on the "don't eat from the fixn' bar and call it a salad" bandwagon.

Carry on with your day folks and remember why you get to have a picnic this Memorial Day whether you are eating from the Fixin' Bar or not

Hopefully, OP, you weren't there the same day we were. DD3 likes to play, "Do I like the taste of this?" at the PB fixin's bar. She tries a bite, and if she doesn't like it, it goes back on the bar.

I agree! As if calling someone a Harry Potter/Universal fan is an insult. The Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure parks are AMAZING if you're not completely blinded by *pixie dust* and give them a chance.

Rookie! My family of 12 can fit nicely into a room at POP. We bring a crock pot and always have dinner waiting for us! We order tripple cheese burgers and always ask for a few extra buns (free)! Before we went I found several old re-fillable mugs at garage sales (free drinks for all)!
