Thanks to 5 trips to WDW this year, my family has just received free flights through Southwest Airline's Rapid Rewards program. Our vacations have always been WDW or Washington DC. We live in Indiana and have never traveled further west than Kansas City. We have two kids 8 & 4. Our trip could last anywhere from 1-2 weeks.

Where would you take your family if you had tickets to anywhere within the continental US? I need some ideas people!!!!

I would take my dh to Oh to see his dad. We're driving up for Christmas but sure wouldn't mind flying if it was free.

California
With 2 weeks you can really get to see alot of the state

Colorado
same as above, winter or summer

Arizona
some great resorts with unbelievable pools/horse back riding/ tubing down the river

Or, take an adults only trip to Vegas using 2 of the tix, and use the other 2 in the future to return back to WDW!

Southern California (Disneyland, San Diego, Beaches, LA, etc)

or

San Francisco (Golden Gate, Wine Country, museums, etc) - you'd have to fly into Oakland.

Does it have to be round trip out of the same airport? You could fly into Southern California then do a 'grand tour' of California in 2 weeks and then fly out of Northern California.

I second california - take a two week trip starting in San Fran and travel south - and check out disneyland!

Another one who would absolutely go to California. The weather, the beaches, Disneyland...My family can't wait to go back.

There's some gorgeous national parks in California as well as the usual sights of LA and San Francisco areas, there's the Grand Canyon in AZ (drive up from Phoenix and stop in Sedona!), NYC, Seattle (we took an Alaska cruise from there last year), lots of places in Texas you can go--like San Antonio, or go skiing in Denver.

Lots of great choices!

another vote for CA. especially would be nice if you could fly into southern and out of northern (or reverse it).

For you: California: You could go to DL, Sea World, The Golden Gate bridge and many more

Seattle: There is a great Science Center, The Space Needle (Which has a rotating restarant and a view of the whole city), Wild Waves.

For me:

Paris, France. My best friend lives there and I would go to see her.

You and your family simply must experience Southern Cal! So much to do and see that is unique to CA and beautiful beaches, all the touristy spots, mostly Disneyland. Even though I live here, I really believe it is the best :flower: :sunny: :flower:

Sadly, Southwest doesn't fly to Paris!

I'd leave the kids at home and go to Vegas!

Lots of votes for California here. :sunny: Glad ya'll like my state. :teeth:

Since I'm already here :p, I'd pick Florida, not just for WDW, but for the beaches and Kennedy Space Center too.

I'm with the majority here...definetly california...disneyland.

For the true Disney aficionado, DLR is a MUST :) Vegas is also very cool.

I'd go back to CA. (my old stomping grounds) to see all my family and add a quick drive to Vegas for old times sake (we used to go at least twice a year).

Another vote for California. I would love to go back there.
