free Emerald Club membership

Has anyone enrolled in National's Emerald club through the Turnertravel.com as found on Mary's site?
Were there any restrications?
Is it truly FREE?
Our family wil be going to WDW 7/28 - 8/4/2003
and will be staying at the Swan.
On departure, we're planning to rent a car from
National at the Swan to drive to Tampa to visit family,
then return the car to the Sanford, Orlando airport.
Any suggestions?

I did last year, through the DC membership. Yes it was free, and I noticed that I was able to make a reservation this year with the DC's code from last year. The new code does not offer much of a discount.

The new code does not offer much of a discount.

The reason for this is because National is no longer the Official Car of WDW, Alamo is.
