Free Disney wallpaper, walltiles, buddy icons, screen savers

Disney has a bunch of free wallpapers (basically large jpg files), walltiles, buddy icons, and screen savers available from their site, but it is a pain to go through the several screens to get to them (select character, select between lists of various object types, wait for pop-up, etc) and you have to put up with the annoying ads.

I changed the numeric links to the actual thumbnail images from Disney. Now you can see what everything is. It may take a minute or two to load if you are on dial-up, but the images are small, so you should be able to see things rather quickly.

Well, at first, it started out as me being lazy and not wanting to click on every last one of these little things. I saw a pattern as to how things were laid out and then it became a challenge! I have not played with JavaScript (in an html web page) for a while, so I thought "I could automate creating links to all of this." So I went to town making the script. When you look at the web page, all of the links are generated based on group of arrays showing how many of what exist. I do not store anything from Disney (no images, thumbnails, nothing).

I probably spent a little more time creating the page than I could have just downloading everything, but I thought, "Why should everyone have to go through that?" Lots of things are out there for free, but some people make it so hard that it turns folks off and they go without.

Mine is definitely not as pretty (and shows that I am more of a coder than an interface designer), but it sure is easier to get what you want!
