I only heard of the DV M&G after joining this board, but I didnt really know what they were. The pictures are so cute!! We will definately be doing this for our next trip.

I have a few more questions. In DL, where are the M&Gs and at what times? I saw the ones for DCA. And what if I cant find them, can I just ask any ol CM and they will direct me?

It's only at DCA not at DL. But you can use the coupon for any picture, from DCA or DL. You just have to redeem the coupon at DCA.

I would think that a CM in DCA would know, but it's not to hard to find. When you enter the park go to the plaza, make a left and enter Hollywood Pictures. Go all the way down to the end of the street (Hyperion theater which has Alladin show-it's a don't miss!) make a left and walk til you run into the gas station area. The CM should be located right to your right, near the airstream trailer that occasionally serves food.


And here's another little secret-keep this to yourself. The M&G runs for the first 1-1/2hr. If you keep an eye open you might just spot a Dream Team member giving out Dream FP. We've gotten them under the sign that's spans the street between Monsters Inc. and ToT. Also we just missed out on getting them at the taxi located right outside of MI. So it's not a bad idea to to hang around a few minutes after your M&G and you might just luck out!

Let me get this thing staight:
I go show my Disney Visa to the CM in DCA, get a coupon, take some pix in either DCA or in DL, and can redeem my coupon only in DCA for either a DCA or a DL pic? Can they print pix from say the day before, or only that days pix?

They can print any PP pix on your card but the coupon does say that the pix from the M&G are only available for 24 hours. I don't know if this is always true as others have posted their M&G pix being there the next day.

Some people have posted that they've had a problem getting none M&G pix with their coupon. I haven't-I've done it many times now. If the CM who's helping you has a problem with it you can always ask to speak to their lead, or manager. But again, I've never had it be an issue. One time a CM helping someone else asked me if I didn't like my M&G pix. I said it wasn't that it was just that I had already gotten a few with DD and Chip and Dale (which wasn't even a lie!)

DLR only recently added the PP pix with enhancements. They're still trying some of them out. The ghost one at HM was originally taken in front of the hearse in the line but that didn't work out well. The current one looks great but sometimes it can be hard to get it taken with everyone entering HM behind you. I had to search out the ones to take the Capt. Hook one and ghosts. One a few previous trips I couldn't find them.

You can save them. I've used two at a time without any problems. And since the news ones don't expire until 12/31/2010, I'm sure I'll have more stockpiled.

New update-the coupon I got yesterday exp. 9-27-08. So it looks like they are now using the earlier expiration date. I talked to the nice CM there and she didn't know that they had Dec. 31, 2010 (showed her one I got before) but she did say that she heard that they had just renewed the Meet 'n Greet for 5 more years!

Also, yesteday, for the first time, I had a problem using the coupon for something other than a M&G pix. I think part of the problem was that the PP counter was staffed with alot of newbies and they had to get approval. I got approval to get a different pix but the "lead" was a little difficult about it. He said I could get other characters (instead of Chip and Dale) if we checked and went at a later time. I did explain to him that it's only open for 1-1/2 hours, so it's not a huge window. I got the pix I wanted, but had to wait about 10 mins. for the enhancment to be loaded. And the pix was taken at least 3 hours before. So, if you look at your pix, and the enhance isn't there, they can make a call, and it'll show up (10-15 mins, or so later).

Here's what I used my coupon for yestereday-

This is a new enhancement and as of yesterday afternoon, had only been up and running for about 24 hours!

This thread is wonderful. Through these boards I knew about this perk and was able to get a free 5x7, which was especially nice since I chose to get it for a photo taken the day my camera battery died, so there was no backup picture on my camera.

For the "official" record, the coupon is only supposed to be good for the PhotoPass pictures taken at the meet and greet. However, most CMs don't enforce that. The CM who helped me at Photo Supply told me that it's supposed to be for the meet and greet only, but she didn't mind. She did however give me a heads up that another CM may stick to the meet and greet photos only.

For what it's worth a CM in DCA told me the meet and greet was by the Wine Country Trattoria. Well, it obviously isn't, but the Dream Squad was there so I wound up with a Dream Fastpass. And they then directed me to the meet and greet.

It's so funny about the coupon being only from the M&G. Just few months ago we were talking to a nice CM there (at the M&G) and even she told us that you could get any pix you want. I'm sure I'm not the only one she told that too. But, like I posted, there were alot of newbies working there yesterday, and they weren't sure about it. By the time I go back in a few months, hopefully the CMs will be more relaxed about it. Or I'll just have to try to get the pix when Chip and Dale aren't there. Now if they would just bring back Mickey and Goofy.

I think I would ride TSM first but on the way pick up a FP for Soarin'. TSM won't be having FP so I would ride that one first. Also, after you leave Soarin', as you're walking by Grizzly River Rapids, grab a FP to use later in the day when it heats up. Since GRR FP is on an independent system, you can get a FP for it even though your FP from Soarin' will say you have to wait either 2 hrs, or until that FP is valid. If it's going to be a really hot day, try and get more FP for GRR during the a.m. As soon as you are able to get another GRR FP, have one person in your party go grab another set. Well worth the effort during the heat of the day.

After you grab your FP for GRR, then continue on to TSM ride. You might be able to get a FP for Screamin' (very close to TSM) by then, depending on what your Soarin' FP says. Once you ride TSM you can head over to Visa M&G. You should still arrive in plenty of time. : It runs for the first 1 1/2 hours, and they change the characters every half hour. Right now Chip 'n Dale are first, then I think it's Pluto. I don't know who's third, but I'm sure someone else here nows. Since we go there first, we always get Chip and Dale. They are pretty funny.

As you are walking around that first hour, or so, keep your eyes open for the Dream Teamers. If you see someone walking around with Dream FP around their necks, ask them where they got them, and run, don't walk to that location!

DCA has alot of single rider lines which can come in very handy if you have members in your group who'll want to ride some rides, while others want to skip them. Or ride them over and over again. Screamin, Soarin, Mulholland Madness, Grizzly Rapids & Maliboomer all have single rider lines.

Ok soo, I have the disney visa, I get a coupon. I then take the coupon to the haunted mansion to get the "ghost" or "hook" shots? I understand you get 1 free one, are they others scanned onto photopass so you can get the CD? Really cute. I will be there end of June and Sept.

You take the coupon to the Photo Supply store after you go to the Haunted Mansion and get your picture taken. You'll need to get a photopass card from the photographer. And yes, all the pictures taken by the photopass photographers will be put on the cd.

We've had both kinds of CMs- non-enforcers and enforcers. One time the person helping us order let us choose any pic. The CM we picked them up from said we couldn't get a non M&G photo. She called a manager and after quite a wait she said that since they were already printed we could have them. She acted like we were really getting away with something. I smiled sweetly and said that since we hadn't been "dreamed" I'd just consider this a dream.

Correct, you'll get it after. But it really only takes a few minutes, though you can take longer if you want. And, of course, you can use your own camera as well. When we've gone, Chip 'n Dale have played around a few minutes with DD. It's really worth staying-even if you don't want that particular pix.
