Free Disney Dining Plan

When does Disney usually offer their Free Dining Plan? I thought sometime around July?? If you book now can the dining plan be added on when it is advertised or do you have to book when its offered?

In my experience, the rate usually comes out in April or May and is good for trips during hurricane season (late august to early october.)

Last year, it was offered to Disney Visa members before opening to general public.

This year, we were able to book free dining on a "bounceback offer" ... we're going late august 2009. (we jsut got back from VWL.)

You cannot add free dining to an existing reservation unless that code is available at your resort. In 2005, we had to move a ressie from POR to CBR in order to get free dining. It was totally worth it.

My advice - book your trip, watch this site CLOSELY, and jump on the FD offer as soon as it pops up. Then be flexible about when and where.

It is usually announced the beginning of April and must be booked by Mid-end of June.You can book now and try to call b ack and add free dining if and when it is available.

Is it offered with the deluxe villa resorts?...we are planning to stay at SSR late august early sept.

The FD bounceback offer that we received last week DID apply to SSR ... i dont know if the FD offer that everyone is waiting for in the spring will apply.

That being said .... SSR is HUGE and if they're trying to fill it, they may offer FD.

It doesnt apply if you're staying on DVC points, you have to pay with real money.
