Sorry if this has been asked recewntly but I have been busy doing other things and not watching as much as I normally do!!

We are planning to go to Disney August/September 09 and wondered if anyone has seen or heard whether disney are doing the free dining plan?

Also I think I read somewhere that if you book now with Disney then they make this offer available, they will give it to holidays already booked with them. Does anyone know if that is right????

If I remember correctly the offer for free dining in 2008 came out a couple of months ago. The offer for 2009 if it follows suit will come out in around March 2009.

If you have already booked they do not add the free dining to your booking, you have to book at the time of the offer (again if I'm remembering right).

and only if you book through the us site, as the are cheeky and don't let uk people have the free dining!!

Doodle Doo if you are talking about the UK deal then I seem to recall that it came on mid August till late November. You had to stay in a minimum of a Mod (although we could never find the deluxe!) for stays between mid/late Aug until 26/27th Sept. One anomoly that we found was that if we tried to go with Virgin (our stay ends Sept 30th) they wanted to charge us for DDP for 3 days (?) but Disney didn't! I have heard on the US board that WDW is trying to stop families booking the last couple of days to get it free for the whole trip although I'm not sure that that will affect the UK.
I would imagine that WDW will do it again this year,as more & more people feel the pinch, they will need encouragement to go!

thanks for that, I didn't think they did worked out cheaper to book it through the uk

never had a problem getting free dinning from the states, had free dinning twice now from the usa once online and once phoning.
when it has been offered in pasd first time it was for usa (uk could still get it eater througth disney or an american TA like dreams) around april for the folowing aug/sept
Then it was offered as bounceback for people staying onsite for the folowing au/sept
then again it was offered by the usa from april for the folowing aug/sept
1st uk offer aug-nov for the folowing aug-sep
Then bounceback for people staying 1st sept for the folowing end aug througth september
then we have had uk offers last year for this year offered around aug-nov
This year usa offer was this april think to this saturday for september this year
Each time it been offered dates have been later first offered starting from 5th aug now some start 1st september
with the usa offers you can stay in a value up, and only have to but a single days base ticket min
With the uk for this year you have to saty in a mod up and but at least a 7 day pass
would watch the boards around the end of aug if bounceback is offered which would mean most proberly will be offered next year
Disney have at various time differnt thinks from 40% room discount to the free dinning for that time of year

my daugther will have free dining this coming september (08)..
i called the US and made the reservations for her over the phone...

she'll be staying at the pop century....the price is bargain basement..
i can't believe how cheap the whole thing is....

it's definitely a great deal....

was even better when tip and starter included
Paulh

true, but it's so cheap..
she was going to stay at the pop century anyway..
now she gets the food "for free"....it didn't increase the price of the room at all...
it's just amazing to me...

Paulh - sorry I don't understand about "bounceback", could you explain what you mean. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Doodle-basically "bounceback" is booking next years holiday before you've finished the first eg. If you are there at Free Dining, you will get an offer to book for Free Dining for the coming year. This is normally a US offer.
