Free Dining

Does anyone know if the Sept. Free Dining is available to DVC members? We are are going Sept. 11 thru 26 and I just heard about free dining and I know nothing about. Any info, insights would be great. Thanks MJ

If you are staying at DVC on points you would still need to pay for the dining plan. You only get "free dining" by paying package which is rack rates for the room and adding at least a one day ticket to the package.

Free dining isn't available anymore, anyway. The booking period for free dining closed in June.

"Free dining" is a promotion that is used to sell rack rate room/ticket packages at Disney resorts during peak hurricane season.

It doesn't apply to DVC reservations. DVC does not need to offer the promotion to get members to book rooms.

And, for what its worth, its too late to book a package for 2007's free dining program. We'll have to wait and see if it is offered in 2008.

And, actually, anyone is eligible for free dining when it is offered. You'll just have to purchase a package from Disney (rack rate room and tickets ) to get it. So you could pay rack rate for the DVC villa instead of using points and buy everyone tickets.
